Jonathan here from Commit To Be Fit based out of The Pier Health Club in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Well we promised to give you some Hints & Tips so here we go!
Correct Breathing Technique
To prevent early fatigue while aerobically training:- BREATH IN through your nose and out through your mouth
- EXHALE on effort while doing resistance training
How do we get stronger?
A muscle will only strengthen when forced to operate beyond its customary intensity (OVERLOAD).
OVERLOAD can be progressed by increasing the:
- resistance e.g. adding more weight to the exercise
- number of repetitions with a particular weight
- number of sets of the exercise
REMEMBER!
Weight Training requires Supervision to ensure sound technique in pursuit of safety and efficiency
